Introduction to our Welfare Secretary

Lucy Davidson

At EUTRC, we believe that the wellbeing of our members should be at the forefront of everything we do, particularly following the widespread impacts that the COVID-19 pandemic has had on young peoples’ mental health. This academic year is the first time that we have appointed a dedicated Welfare Secretary in response to this; Lucy Davidson is a 4th Year Neuroscience student from Scotland with a passion for mental health.

“I joined EUTRC in my second year of university and immediately loved how inclusive everyone was, as well as the relaxed atmosphere of the club. The welfare of club members should be an important aspect of any society or club at university and I am always happy to have a chat if a member has any welfare-related concerns, or if you just need to talk to someone. This year, I am regularly running welfare drop-in sessions, the schedules of which will be posted on the EUTRC Welfare Instagram account bi-weekly.”

As well as our main Instagram account where we post general club updates and information (@ eutrc), we have also created a separate Instagram account for all welfare-related information: @eutrc_welfare. Please feel free to contact the account with any wellbeing concerns you may have about yourself or the welfare of other club members.
